Here we see that Christ was judged as a criminal. In chapter 53 of Isaiah is such a powerful description. Christ was beaten so severely as our savior. Jesus took our beatings. He was beaten more than we can imagine. Hung on the cross in humiliation and shame...for us.
He was pierced through for us. Crushed for us. What a picture of love. What a picture of sacrifice.
My King, that He died for me. Let me serve him like I understand this powerful truth.
